Mockingbird MicroSchool believes in hiring the best teachers in their field. We only hire teachers who are extremely passionate about Early Childhood Education and we believe in a teacher compensation model that reflects the importance of this stage in your child’s life.
Our History
Mockingbird MicroSchool was founded through our passionate desire to create the absolute best learning environment for our own children. We are building a community of like minded families who believe that Early Childhood Education is a critical milestone in human development.
What is a MicroSchool?
A MicroSchool is an intentionally small learning environment with a very low ratio of students to teachers. A MicroSchool setting facilitates an environment of hyper-focused care for students. Our students love it because they get the attention that they deserve. Our parents love it because they can see their children flourish before their eyes. And our teachers love it because they can provide intentional instruction to the group while still maintaining the ability to focus on a small group or individual when they need it most.

Mockingbird MicroSchool is on a mission to be the absolute best early learning school in Austin. Every member of our school community, from our Founders to our Families, believe that early childhood is one of the most important stages of human development. Young humans at this stage are learning about the world, forming attachments, and creating social behaviors that will shape them for the rest of their lives. We take that responsibility very seriously and everything that we do is in service to the mission of creating the absolute best environment possible.
